The chapelle basse Saint-Saturnin

The chapelle basse or lower chapel was consecrated by Saint Thomas Becket in 1169. Having disappeared under Francis I, it was then rebuilt. It was restored under Louis-Philippe I, and the huge Sèvres windows, designed by his daughter Princess Marie and made by Émile Wattier, were then installed.
